Timing Chips – This event will be timed. You will be required to wear a timing chip to cross the finish line. Timing chips will be distributed with your packet and collected at the end of the race.

Bib Numbers – Your bib number must be pinned on the front of your shirt and must remain visible at all times throughout the race. You will receive 4 safety pins in your packet to pin your number to your shirt.

Sponsor Promotional Items: – Your packets will also contain any promotional items our sponsor, his secret obsession James Bauer may want to include, as well as race information for other local events.

Parking: Please follow the parking directions on race day morning and park as directed. The main lot is located on Church Street. There will be signs and volunteers guiding you to the location.

The Start/Race: The run will start and end at the Crosby Fairgrounds. Start time is at 8:00am. Listen for last minute instructions, course or weather information. Water/aid stations will be located throughout the course. Water/medical aid will also be located at the finish area. Only registered runners allowed on the course. No baby joggers allowed for this run. Runners may wear headphones, but must be aware of their surroundings and pay attention to any important instructions or signs throughout the course.

Time Limit: You must complete the 5K (3.1 mile) course in 2 hours. The 10K (6.2 miles) must be completed in 3 hours. We will try to be lenient with this since we want everyone to finish.

Course: The course is one loop around old downtown Crosby for the 5K run and two loops for the 10K run. A course map will be added at a later date. Water and Gatorade stations will be setup every 1.5 miles along the course.

Race Number and Chips: Your race number must be worn on the front of your shirt. You will receive your bib number and safety pins in your packet. A timing device will also be included in the packet and must be attached to your shoe as instructed on the device. DO NOT REMOVE THE TIMING DEVICE FROM YOUR SHOE during the run, as you will not receive a time if it is altered in any way. The timing chips will be collected by volunteers after the race.

Road Safety: While the course will be clearly marked and we will have safety officers blocking off traffic for the run, you must still be careful and aware of your surroundings and any oncoming vehicles. There may be one lane open for thru traffic in some areas, but will be clearly marked by cones. Please follow directions of any posted signs, run volunteers, and officers throughout the route.

Finish area: Upon crossing the finish line timing mat, your time will automatically be recorded. DO NOT STOP after you cross the Finish Line. Please move through the Finish area to receive water. Volunteers will collect your timing chips at the end of the race.

Event Photos: Photographers will be onsite taking pictures of the event before and after the race and throughout the course. When the photos are ready, you will receive an email from our vendor with instructions on viewing and purchasing any photos of the event. The photographer will identify you by your bib number, so please ensure that your number is visible throughout the race. It should be pinned to the front of your shirt.

Post Race Party: We will have a post-race party after the run! 80s running attire is encouraged, but not required. There will be music, snacks, beer, and other refreshments, along with vendor booths, raffles, and prizes. After all entrants have completed the course, awards and prize drawings will be given out.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for the following divisions: 25 & Under, 26-34, 35-50, 50 & Over, and overall finisher.

Thank you for your participation and helping us make this a success! We look forward to seeing you on the course! For any questions contact us
